Applegarth has been growing, selling and producing exceptional quality foods for almost 40 years. We strive to provide something a little unique and different to the faceless high street of today. Mass produced we do not do! Home produced food, made with love, care and attention is served up both in our restaurant and farm shop. We work closely with a diverse range of artisan producers, small companies who benefit directly from selling their products at Applegarth.
At Applegarth we do everything we can to supply the finest, locally sourced foods that we can. We have a considerable range of foods made either on the premises or by other small regional suppliers.
All breads are either sourced from a small bakery 3 miles from Applegarth or baked on the premises. We have everything from a traditional farmhouse loaf to a dark twisted ciabatta with peppers.

Family run for 40 years…
In 1976 John and Stephanie Benson purchased a piece of land in Grayshott to start growing a range of soft fruit and vegetables. Selling via a barrow at the entrance and a van to Covent Garden Market, John steadily built up a pick your own business which thrived throughout the 1980’s.
Today Applegarth employs about 32 people and has a thriving Restaurant and Farm Shop selling a whole raft of locally sourced, unique products. We are still true to our roots however, ...
