Delicatessen

We have refined our deli to include a range of foodie treats, a large majority of which are sourced within 50 miles of Applegarth.  That, with a new delicatessen counter stocked up by our creative restaurant chefs makes for an interesting visit.

Drawing upon local artisan  producers and an Ottolenghi style salad offering, we're sure you'll find something delightful to take away.

Delicatessen Counter

Our 5 metre deli counter is crammed full of different produce and is split into three sections containing:

 - A range of beautiful salads to eat both in the restaurant and to take away.

 - A delicious selection of traditional baked goods, tarts, scotch eggs etc.

 - Meals for your home produced by the restaurant - take away a variety of dishes for lunch or dinner.

Cheese Counter

We don't have the space for a monstrously large selection of cheese so what we do is refine down the choice to some absolute belters. Mainly UK varieties, we stock about 30 different types of cheese, many that you aren't going to find in the supermarkets.

Olive & Antipasti Bar

We have a delightful little table full of olives and antipasti in the centre of the shop.

The olives are bought in from Olives et al, a brilliant Dorset based company, who stuff all their olives in the UK.   Our antipasti is sourced from the mighty Belazu, a family owned UK supplier of all things Mediterranean.

You can select as much or as little as you want.

Local Artisan Producers

We have a wealth of local artisan products to complement our deli, cheese and antipasti counters including dressings, marinades and sauces, snacks and nibbles, local drinks - alcoholic and non-alcoholic (including some beautiful wines and champagne style 'cyder'), fresh fruit and vegetables and chocolate and desserts.

Our newest introduction though, is an amazing array of organic meat from Mill Farm Organics in Alton.  Click here to find out more about Mill Farm, it's ethos and environmentally sound farming methods.

Pop by and pick some up for an end of season BBQ, your Sunday roast or just supper tonight!
