Beef & Liberty

Our seasonal Beef & Liberty evenings celebrate our love of beef and the oldest surviving dining society in Britain – possibly the world  – The Sublime Society of Beef Steaks. Founded in 1735 by John Rich, manager of Covent Garden Theatre, the Society is associated with a long list of famous dignitaries and few alterations to their customs have been made throughout its long history. Today its members continue to unite monthly over an unashamedly meat feast.

If, like us, you have yet to receive your exclusive invitation to the Society (they only have 24 members) then fear not. Beef & Liberty has all the theatre and a menu that will satisfy the most ardent carnivore, celebrating our partnership with the best British farmers & cuts. Complimented by an array of starter & side dishes, a glass of Regent's Punch and an extensive wine list, the Society's toast has it – 'May BEEF & LIBERTY be our Reward!'
