Dear friends of Applegarth,

Another year has passed with countless twists and turns to keep us, and everyone across the hospitality industry, on our toes. We started the year with our doors closed and bit by bit, month by month, a sense of ‘normality’ has been welcomed back. By the end of spring, we were back doing what we do best; providing thoughtful and passionate hospitality to you, our supportive guests.

Though it’s been another challenging year, we have learnt to expect the unexpected, by embracing change and doing the best we can do in-between restrictions. January saw us launch our new takeaway menu, offering artisan wood-fired pizzas, gourmet burgers and more to enjoy at home, and our online retail shop continues to go from strength to strength. During the summer, The Kadai Kitchen Garden made a comeback and we launched a series of dining events with our Head Chef, Ianto, championing local suppliers and our very own homegrown heroes. 

As December rolled around, it became clear that our fight against COVID-19 is far from over. We are so grateful to have been able to celebrate a Christmas with our doors open and to welcome in 2022 with many of you. We are encouraging everyone and anyone to get the booster which hopefully will help keep everyone safe, will protect the NHS and at the same time ensure that the hospitality industry can keep its doors open and operating as close to normal as possible.


A final thank you personally to all of our friends, old and new, who have joined us in the past year. Your unwavering support means so much to our fantastic hard-working Applegarth team. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon in 2022!
